Celebrity MasterChef 2020 cast and when it was filmed

With The Great British Bake Off in doubt and other shows having to pause filming, we are in desperate need of something new to watch.

And what could be better than a bunch of celebrities putting their culinary skills to the test.

That's right, Celebrity MasterChef is back with 20 famous faces lined-up to take part which was filmed before the coronavirus pandemic.

John Torode and Gregg Wallace will be back to cast their judgement over the dishes whipped up in the MasterChef kitchen.

The series will start on Wednesday, July 1, with the heats as five celebrities each try and bag themselves a place in the semi-final week before the big grand final.

But who's taking part? Here's who you can expect to see.

I'm A Celeb campmate and singer Myles Stephenson, comedian and Loose Women panellist Judi Love and former footballer John Barnes are among the stars set to don an apron this series.

Also taking part is actor Shyko Amos, former The Apprentice contestant Thomas Skinner, actor Phil Daniels, RuPaul's Drag Race UK star Baga Chipz, Kingdom Choir conductor Karen Gibson and presenter Dom Littlewood.

And completing the line-up is gold medal winning Olympic hockey player Sam Quek, tennis coach Judy Murray, TV presenter Gethin Jones, actress Felicity Montagu, TOWIE star Pete Wicks, singer Lady Leshurr actress and comedian Crissy Rock, presenters Jeff Brazier and Amar Latif, broadcaster Riyadh Khalaf and gold medal winning Olympic rower Sir Matthew Pinsent.

Celebrity MasterChef begins on Wednesday, July 1, at 9pm on BBC One. I tiwll then air on Friday, July 3, at 7:30pm and 8:30pm.
