When celebrity hypnotist and behavioural psychologist Paul Goldin died in 2008 at the age of 79, he was greatly mourned by many.
But none felt his loss more keenly than his daughter, businesswoman Katie Jane Goldin.
Indeed her feeling of loss was so great that she found herself unable to part with his car which has been parked in a field behind her home for the past 13 years.
However, she has now finally found a way to honour her dad's memory while parting with the precious vehicle – by donating it to the Fire Service.
Taking to her Instagram, she posted a beautiful picture posing atop the silver car which sit's among overgrown grass and wrote: “I’ve held onto this car for 13 years.
"It was my dad’s and I was unable to part with it. I had it parked up in the field behind my house. Last week I was chatting to a Fireman from Greystones Fire Station who asked me about the car.
"I said I just couldn’t face seeing someone else driving around in my dad’s old car.

"He told me how they always need cars to practice on in the fire station and how if I donated it to them - it could save a life.
"They collected it this evening and although even after all this time I feel sad to see it go... It feels right. I think my dad would have liked where it’s gone”
Her followers agreed. Tara O’Connor wrote: “Lovely post doll and what a wonderful thing to do. Your dad would be so proud and happy x”
Niamh Kenny commented: “Hed be delighted. well done you, tough to let it go.”
While Lynda Quiqley said: “Well done Katie Jane .. you have the biggest heart and your dad is looking down so proud.”
Paul was one of Ireland’s best-known media personalities thanks to his work as a stage hypnotist and also because of his work with stress management and phobias in his clinics.
Katie won the Image Young Businesswoman of the Year award in 2013 and is the creator of the award-winning LanaiBLO and LanaiPRO Hairdryer.
Meanwhile, her brother Ricky Paull Goldin is an actor who appeared in popular daytime soap All My Children until it ended in 2011.
