Celebrity Help! My House is Haunted is going to return for series five - with a list of notable names finding out if their homes have supernatural spirits behind their walls.

Discovery+ have just announced the fifth series is going to take a look at the homes of Nancy Dell'Olio, Gary Numan, Suzanne Shaw, Beverley Callard, Simon Weston, and Antony Cotton.

They will be joined by a team of paranormal experts trying to work out what’s going on their abodes, from historic Highland castles to sprawling Italian masserias.

On the show will be psychic medium Ian Lawman, tech expert Barri Ghai, and investigator Jayne Harris.

Antony Cotton will also star on the show (Peter Byrne/PA)

And also joining this series will be Katrina Weidman, an American paranormal investigator.

The series is believed to air in November.

Last series saw Dom Joly, Shaun Williamson, Chris Robshaw and Camilla Kerslake, James Argent, Jo Wood and Claire Sweeney take a look at the spooky history of their homes.

Last year, Jo Wood told The Sun she agreed to take part in the series as “I’ve always felt another presence which I couldn’t see or explain”.

She added that the show “validated” her beliefs, saying: “It is certainly reassuring.”

“What was uncovered was incredible – I know now why this house called to me,” she said.

“It’s good to know I wasn’t going bonkers!”

Meanwhile, EastEnders’ legend Shaun Williamson said he was “shoved down the stairs” by a ghost in his house - after spotting a spooky woman in the window.

He said on the show: “One day, I was walking down the stairs with a cup of tea in one hand and a plate in the other and I just fell.

"It wasn’t like a buckle, I went up in the air, both feet and landed on my back.

"My cup of tea and plate smashed. It took me five minutes to get my breath back.

“I just thought, ‘Christ, what was that?’ At the back of your mind, you wonder if it’s the ghost.”

He said experts on the show discovered there was “a strong presence on that stairway”.

He added that he knew something was up with his house when “pictures started coming off walls”.

“They were securely fastened,” he added, “that’s when I knew something was up”.
