Celebrity Gogglebox's Shaun Ryder and Bez dubbed 'comedy gold'

The latest episode of celebrity Gogglebox led to an outpouring of praise for Shaun Ryder and Bez, two of the stars to feature on the latest series of the show.

The likes of Shaun Ryder and Bez, Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash and Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford all took to their sofas to give a review on a weeks worth of telly.

The former Happy Mondays duo left the nation in hysterics as they were captured watching last week's tv and news.

In response to a clip of President Trump speaking, Shaun said: "You might as well have me as the President."

One viewer said: "Bez & Shaun Ryder are just comedy gold! #Celbritygogglebox."

Another said tweeted: "One full hour of Bez & Shaun Ryder please!"

A third said: "Genius. Shaun Ryder and Bez and the funniest thing I've seen on #CelebrityGogglebox."

As well as Happy Monday's stars Shaun and Bez, Vic Reeves and Jools Holland, Radio 1 DJ Nick Grimshaw and his niece Liv, Coronation Street's Maureen Lipman and Gyles Brandeth and comedians Mo Gilligan and Babatúndé Aléshé.

Viewers of the popular Channel 4 series were again left rather baffled as it appeared the celebrities were breaking social distancing rules.

While Stacey and Joe and Ruth and Eamonn are couples living together, like Denise Van Outen and her partner Eddie, others seemed to be visiting each other's houses in order to appear on the show.

However, Channel 4 has explained it is following the rules laid down for TV production, which are different to the ones that apply to most people.
