Celebrity Gogglebox fans gobsmacked as Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford both swear on air

Celebrity Gogglebox viewers were left gobsmacked to hear Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford swear on air.

The usually well-spoken couple appeared on the celebrity edition of the hit Channel 4 show Gogglebox as we saw the TV presenters watch the last week of television.

On Friday's episode, Eamonn and Ruth were seen watching an instalment of BBC One entertainment show Dragon's Den, which saw leading businessmen judge new business ideas and then either invest or reject the concepts.

After watching one contestant get rejected by the 'Dragons' and say her goodbyes and depart for the lift, Eamonn and Ruth discussed how they would respond to such a situation.

Eamonn asked if he thought the contestant would get in the lift and say "F*** off" while sticking two middle fingers up.

Ruth was highly amused by his response and then proceeded to join in and copy her husband as they both gestured with middle fingers.

"I would," said Eamonn, with Ruth agreeing.

He then counted them in as they both repeated the phrase of "F**k off" with the finger gestures.

If that wasn't enough, later Ruth commented that male contestants on Netfix dating show Too Hot To Handle were on "W**k watch" for one of the male co-stars.

Taking to Twitter, viewers were shocked to hear the beloved TV couple swearing away on the beloved Channel 4 show.

One person tweeted: "Can’t believe I have just heard Eamonn Holmes say “f**k off” #CelebrityGogglebox #GoggleBox ".

A different Celebrity Gogglebox viewer penned: "Can't believe Eamonn Holmes just said F__K OFF and gave the two fingers on goggle box [laughing emojis]".

Meanwhile, another viewer wrote: " @EamonnHolmes Eamonn I’m shocked by your F word on Gogglebox [shocked face emojis] even my hubby was shocked [laughing emojis]".

Ruth was then seen imitating Eamonn as she joined in with the swearing (Channel 4)

"Haha Eamonn and Ruth with their fingers up saying f**k off! #CelebrityGogglebox," penned a different Twitter user.

Elsewhere, a different fan of the show tweeted their approval, noting: "In hysterics at @EamonnHolmes and Ruth watching Dragons Den on Gogglebox! [laughing emojis] My favourites [red heart emoji] #Gogglebox #DragonsDen #Foff ".

Finally, one fan of the couple concluded of their appearance on this week's Celebrity Gogglebox: "And this is why Eamonn and Ruth need to be brought back to #thismorning ".
