Celebrity Gogglebox couple Denise and Eddie split after seven years

TV star Denise Van Outen and fiance Eddie Boxshall have broken up after seven years.

Denise and Eddie will be familiar to millions as regulars on celebrity editions of Gogglebox, where there cute coupe were often seen laughing and joking as they commented on the latest TV highlights.

Actress, singer and TV presenter Denise asked Eddie to move out two months ago reports The Mirror.

Last night Denise posted a message on Instagram alongside a black and white picture of her walking two dogs on a beach.

She said: "Over the past couple of months, there has been much speculation regarding my relationship with Eddie.

"It saddens me to confirm that we are no longer a couple. I had to make the difficult decision not to continue in our relationship.

"I will always treasure the good times we spent together, and the memories made."

She added: "We ask that you please respect our privacy at this time, especially for our children" followed by a heart emoji.

Her spokesman said: “Denise is understandably upset about the news, but she remains optimistic for the future.

“Her priority is looking after her daughter and continuing to work on the many exciting projects she has coming up this year.”

The pair began dating in July 2014 when they were introduced to each other by a mutual friend.

Boxshall was Denise's first boyfriend since she split from husband Lee Mead in 2013.

Denise previously told Hello! Magazine: "After this dreadful lockdown ends, there will be wedding bells."
