Celebrity Gogglebox cast shake-up for special as Steps, Bimini and Heartstopper stars join

Celebrity Gogglebox fans have been left delighted by the news that a new crop of stars are joining the hit Channel 4 show, including three of Steps and some of the Heartstopper cast.

As the likes of The Malones and Jenny and Lee take a break for summer, following the show's win at the BAFTA TV awards, the star studded spin-off of the long-running series has returned for a new series, with the likes of Rylan and his mum, Eurovision star Sam Ryder and Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash, giving their opinions on the sofa about all manner of shows including Love Island and Alan Carr's ITV game show.

Other famous faces being armchair critics for the latest run include Loose Women stars Charlene White and Judi Love and Zoe Ball, but from Friday, July 1, there will be a fresh bunch of celebs joining the Celebrity Gogglebox cast for a Pride special, with them each breaking the news of their appearance on social media.

RuPaul's Drag Race UK finalist Bimini, fresh from their set at the Download Festival, will be on screen, alongside singr Self Esteem, while Steps members Claire Richards, H and Faye Tozer have also joined the Gogglebox ranks, as have several stars from Netflix smash Heartstopper, dubbed the streaming service's 'best show ever, ' by scores of fans.

Main stars Kit O'Connor and Joe Locke will be featured, alongside fellow cast members Yasmin Finney and William Gao. And it was the news that they were all joining the cast that provoked the biggest response from viewers. One reacted: "the heartstopper cast on celeb gogglebox is actually the best thing i can think of," and another tweeting: "no one gets how excited i am to see the heartstopper cast on gogglebox tomorrow like that’s my two favourite shows combined."
