Celebrity chef Tony Singh to headline 2021 Kirkcudbright Food Festival

Celebrity chef Tony Singh is returning to the Stewartry to headline this year’s Kirkcudbright Food Festival.

Known as The Incredible Spice Man, Tony last appeared at the festival in 2017 and is set to give two demonstrations during this year’s festivities which will take place on October 23 and 24.

Tony will also be involved in a question and answer session when he appears at Station House Cookery School on the Sunday.

Other demonstrations already lined up include East Asian vegetarian mezzes with Missie Maxwell, a venison masterclass with Rupert Shaw of Gledpark and steak and sides with Sandersons of Senwick.

And Jade Ahmed from Treats, Darling and John Finch from Saucy Desserts will go head-to-head in a Ready, Steady, Cook style challenge.

Gledpark will also be offering a deer safari and there will be a producers’ market, children’s workshops and food trails.

The festival is sponsored by West Coast Sea Products and John Watt Coffee.

The 2020 Kirkcudbright Food Festival was one of the few events in the town to survive the coronavirus pandemic – and one of the few food festivals in Scotland still to go ahead.
