After nearly three chaotic weeks in the Celebrity Big Brother house, the 2025 champion was finally crowned during Friday night’s live final, and it was Coronation Street star Jack P Shepherd who walked away victorious. The ITV show, fronted by AJ Odudu and Will Best, gave viewers one last chance to vote for their winner in a bumper-length episode packed with surprises, emotions, and some pretty awkward goodbyes.
The final lineup saw six celebs still in the running, but one by one, they were whittled down. First to go was former Love Island star Chris Hughes, whose early eviction turned out to be reflected in the numbers — he only managed to scrape 2.52% of the public vote. Not far behind him was Chesney Hawkes with just 3.04%, reported the Mirror.
Chris, emotional during his exit interview, teared up as he spoke about JoJo Siwa, drawing comparisons between her experience of growing up in the spotlight and that of his ex, Jesy Nelson. It was a moment that clearly touched some viewers, but it wasn’t enough to keep him in the game.
Next to leave was comedian Donna Preston, followed closely by JoJo Siwa herself, who had been one of the most talked-about housemates all season. She just missed the final two, having received 13.17% of the vote.
That left drag artist Danny Beard and Jack P Shepherd sitting nervously in the final two chairs, waiting to hear their fate. It was incredibly close — Danny picked up 35.72% of the vote, but Jack edged ahead with 37.37%, taking the win and proving once again that Corrie fans really do show up when it counts.
Voting figures for the final were quickly released after the show, giving fans a full breakdown and, for some, a few surprises.
Of course, the series wasn’t without its controversy. Hollywood actor Mickey Rourke, who had joined the original 13-strong cast, didn’t even make it to the end of the first week. The 72-year-old was booted from the house on day six after a string of incidents.
After receiving a formal warning for homophobic language directed at JoJo Siwa, Big Brother later confirmed he’d been removed following “further use of inappropriate language and unacceptable behaviour.” This included a crude comment towards Ella Rae Wise and an aggressive confrontation with Chris Hughes during a themed task. Despite the drama, the show ended on a high note for Jack, who now joins the ranks of Big Brother royalty.
