Celebrity Big Brother US: Anthony Scaramucci 'first to leave' in new series

Anthony Scaramucci’s Celebrity Big Brother tenure has reportedly ended.

Donald Trump’s former communications director has already left, according to The Hollywood Reporter, just a couple of days after the first episode of the current season, in which this year's crop of celebrities were seen entering the Big Brother house, aired.

Scaramucci’s status hasn’t officially been announced, but some signs suggest he has departed the show.

The American financier didn’t appear on the Celebrity Big Brother live feed, The Hollywood Reporter wrote on Wednesday, and his cast mate Jonathan Bennett reportedly said: “I miss Anthony Scaramucci.”

Other cast members apparently wondered when his photo on the house’s “memory wall” would turn black and white, as is usually the case when someone leaves.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Scaramucci was at a business conference in Davos, Switzerland on Wednesday and said during a panel: “There’s a lot of intellectuals that are like, ‘WTF, what’s he doing on Big Brother’ But you have to remember I grew up in a blue collar family so you have to remember that America watches these shows. You don’t want to unplug yourself totally from America.”

This year's cast members were seen entering the Big Brother house on Monday.

If Scaramucci has indeed already left, he will have appeared on the show for about two days – though it's unclear when the show started filming, so he may have been involved for longer – and will be the first celebrity to leave the house.

Scaramucci, a native of Long Island in New York, was infamously fired from the White House after just 10 days following an explosive interview in which he insulted Reince Priebus and Steve Bannon.
