Celebrity Big Brother 2018: When does it start and what is the line up?

How can normal life continue now that Love Island has been swept away from our TV screens?

Never fear, reality TV addicts, as the OG behemoth of elaborately produced voyeurism is set to return to screens this year once more: Celebrity Big Brother, which promises more scandals, more individuals you've barely heard of, and more desperate grabs for attention.

Here's everything you need to know about the new season.

When does Celebrity Big Brother start?

Big Brother UK's official Twitter account revealed the big news: with an announcement that a "storm is coming", it's been confirmed the new series of Celebrity Big Brother will commence 16 August.

"We know it usually rains on Launch Night, but you’ll need more than a brolly for this storm!," the post added. Will there be some major changes to the format in store?

Which celebrities will be in the house?

There have been no official confirmations on who will be appearing in the house this year, though that's barely stopped a string of celebs dropping hints or flat-out pleas to appear on the show, alongside the usual rumours.

Samantha Markle, sister to the Duchess of Sussex, told Inside Edition she was open to any opportunities that might come her way, and when asked about Celebrity Big Brother, she replied: "Why not? Life is about cashing in, you… take opportunities as they arise and, hopefully, you enjoy the ride."

Love Island star Gabby Allen has been heavily tipped to appear, alongside Coronation Street actor Ryan Thomas, with Cosmopolitan reporting that the show is keen to get Queer Eye's Jonathan Van Ness onboard. Katie Price has also expressed an interest in making a future return to the show.

The Sun has also claimed that Kirstie Alley, former TOWIE star Dan Osborne, and Stormy Daniels have all signed up for the show. Chloe Ayling, the model kidnapped in Italy last year, is also reportedly in talks for the show

Who will present?

Emma Willis is confirmed to return, while it's also assumed Rylan Clark-Neal will be back as usual.
