Celebrity Bake Off 2022: Who are the contestants and how long it's on for

Celebrity Bake Off, the star-studded spin-off of the hit baking show The Great British Bake Off, returns once again as a whole of host of stars take on baking challenges in an effort to raise money and awareness for Stand Up to Cancer.

The Channel 4 series, which started on airing on Tuesday March 22, will see contestants take on a range of challenges including making decorated biscuits, a technical round involving making madeleines and an another round to showcase their secret baking talents.

Who are the contestants on Celebrity Bake Off 2022?

The line-up on Celebrity Bake Off 2022 includes singer Ellie Goulding, Sir Mo Farah and TV presenter Emma Willis among 19 other famous faces.

Also taking part and looking to impress Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith with their baking skills on the Channel 4 series, are radio DJ Annie Mac, former Corrie actress Katherine Kelly, comedian Ed Gamble.

TV and radio presenter Clara Amfo, Strictly Come Dancing judge Motsi Mabuse, The Inbetweeners star Blake Harrison, creator of Taskmaster Alex Horne and actress-comedian Ruby Wax will also be part of the show.

Others to have signed up include singer-songwriter Example, actor/author Ben Miller, Friday Night Dinner’s Tracy-Ann Oberman, choirmaster Gareth Malone, TV presenter Sophie Morgan, writer-comedian Mawaan Rizwan, with musicians Yung Filly and Example finishing the line-up.

The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up to Cancer - presented by Noel Fielding and Matt Lucas - will air Tuesdays at 8pm on Channel 4 and is available online via All 4. There will five episodes in which four contestants will face off each week.

The first episode, which was over an hour long, had TV presenter Emma Willis, Radio 1 DJ Clara Amfo, comedian Alex Horne and Inbetweeners actor Blake Harrison battle it out against each other in three rounds. The celeb groups who will be taking part in upcoming episodes haven't been revealed yet.

At the end of each episode of the charity series, one of the four celeb bakers will be crowned that Star Baker. Last year, Little Mix’s Jade Thirlwall and comedian Reece Shearsmith were among those who got the title.

What is Stand Up To Cancer?

Stand Up To Cancer, which was launched in 2012, is a national fundraising campaign jointly run by Cancer Research UK and Channel 4.

The aim of the campaign is to bring "the UK together to speed up progress in life-saving cancer research", with Celebrity Bake Off supporting the cause with an annual charity series since 2018.
