Celebrity Apprentice: Ayda Field and Amanda Holden help girls team to victory as Lord Sugar points his firing finger

Ayda Field and Amanda Holden helped the girls team romp to victory in the Celebrity Apprentice while Omid Djalili got fired.

Comedian Djalili was on the receiving end of Lord Sugar’s famous finger after his poor performance in the task led to a comedy balloon dance going very, very wrong with one performer exposing himself to the shocked crowd.

After being hauled back in the boardroom by Rylan Clark-Neal, alongside Sam Allardyce, Lord Sugar told Djalili: “Omid, you promised a lot, you delivered nothing really – You’re Fired.”

But the star didn’t want to take no for an answer, sparking an intense debate with Lord Sugar over who was REALLY fired (spoiler: still Djalili).

Meanwhile, the girls impressed with their jungle chic Café de Paris fundraiser as Kelly Hoppen led the team to a strong victory.

Spending only £633, the team managed the raise £254,326 in donations through the event itself – which had Robbie Williams headlining – and auction pledges.

The boys, in comparison, only managed to raise £126,790 and spent slightly more on their Bloomsbury Ballroom bash with £641.

Field and Holden made sure to get involved with all the action on the night of the fundraiser, having to sing Bear Necessities from The Jungle Book in order to secure a £25,000 donation from Simon Cowell.

The five-strong team – which also included Rachel Johnson and Tameka Empson – even managed to put a smile on Claude Littner’s face, getting him to join in the conga during the party.

“I’d like to add, Alan, they were absolutely fantastic and it was a pleasure being with them over the two days,” he gushed in the boardroom.

Celebrity Apprentice is available now to catch up on BBC iPlayer.
