Martin Compston and Kevin Bridges among Scots celebs delighted about Scotland's monumental victory over Serbia

After Scotland's unbelievable victory tonight, social media has been absolutely buzzing with the result.

The whole nation were on the edge of their seats as Scotland took it to penalties against Serbia and with their player Aleksandar Mitrovic missing their last shot, Scotland sailed through to the Euros.

This will be their first major tournament since 1998.

Scotland's First Minister Nicola Sturgeon said: "Massive congratulations to Steve Clarke and the team. After 22 years, @ScotlandNT men are off to a major tournament. What a lift for the country. Well done!"

Outlander's Sam Heughan took to Twitter to say: "Oh my god!!! YESSSSSSS @ScotlandNT

Line of Duty star Martin Compston celebrated with Adrian Dunbar. He wrote: "C’mmmonn ya f****n beauty!!! 20years!!"

Kevin Bridges tweeted: "Mad Scotland! Said it years ago that we’d quality for Euro 2021. Brilliant."

Clyde 1's George Bowie was absolutely buzzing, he wrote: "Yeaaaaaaahhhhhh!"

Scots comedian Janey Godley also posted: "YAS! yASS! yAS!"

Still Game's Sanjeev Kohli also penned: "YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!"

UK Prime Minster Boris Johnson also tweeted saying: "So great to see Scotland going forward to the Euros. Massive well done to the whole team."
