Celebrations advent calendars 'ruin Christmas' according to these angry fans

Advent calendars have only been in use for a few days, but already there is outrage over what Celebrations have popped behind the doors.

There are plenty of flavours in the chocolate selection, made by Mars, many of them the biggest-selling chocolates out there.

But instead of finding a Maltesers Teaser, Mars or Galaxy Caramel, advent fans are crestfallen to discover that Bounty has made not just one, but two appearances.

And it's only the third day of December.

The Manchester Evening News reports that Mars has put Bounty chocolates behind the doors for December 2 and 3 of the advent calendars.

And, perhaps unsurprisingly, a number of people have taken to Twitter to have a good old moan.

"Why does my Celebrations calendar have back to back Bounties. What is this. I feel cheated," one wrote.

Another said: "2 Bountys in a row on my celebrations advent calendar. To say I’m fuming is an understatement."

"Another bounty today in my advent calendar and I'm wondering why Celebrations hate me," a third shopper fumed.

A fourth added: "Had a bounty out my celebrations calendar 2 days in a row Christmas is ruined."

One made a timely joke, saying: "Tier 3 is like the Bounty chocolate in Celebrations."

Another, who is already a day ahead of us, has some bad news to share with her fellow Celebrations calendar holders: "I'm on day 4 of my celebrations advent calendar and someone tell me why i’ve gotten 3 bounties in a row??????? is this a sick joke or something @UKCelebrations."

Fior its part, the Celebrations social media account has been doing its utmost to battle the bad karma for the coconut classic - in a tongue-in-cheek fashion.

"Bounty has officially been voted the UK's favourite Celebrations chocolate!" they declared in a tweet - with the caveat: "Official sources stated that this is false and misleading."
