Tom Parker hailed as 'family man and true artist' as heartbroken celeb pals pay tribute

Celebrities have paid their tributes to The Wanted's Tom Parker after he tragically passed away at lunchtime.

The heartbreaking news was announced by his wife Kelsey - who posted on her Instagram about his death.

He was diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain cancer - stage four glioblastoma - in October 2020.

Tom underwent radiotherapy and chemotherapy in a bid to help, even having private treatment in Spain in the weeks leading up to his sudden death.

Stars have been left devastated as they mourn the loss of Tom - who was a doting dad to daughter Aurelia, two, and son Bodhi, 11 months.

Ed Sheeran led tributes as he posted about the sad news on Instagram.

Alongside a photo of him, he wrote: "So sad to hear of Tom's passing. Thoughts and love are with Kelsey, his children and his family. Very sad day, what a lovely guy x"

TV presenter Rylan Clark paid tribute to Tom over on Twitter.

He tweeted: "I've just seen the news about Tom and that's absolutely gutting. He was such a good'un. So sad to hear. Sending my love to Kelsey and the kids. Awful news x #RipTom x"

McFly's Harry Judd said during an appearance on The One Show: "It's desperately sad. Tom was the loveliest guy, so charismatic and incredibly brave and positive throughout the process he went through. All I can say now is we send our love to his wife Kelsey and their two children."

Howard Donald from Take That also sent his condolences to Tom's grieving family.

He tweeted: "So young and so sad. RIP @TomParker from @thewanted. Strength and love to his family."

Martin Kemp tweeted: "Tom Parker, rest in peace my love goes out to all your family and all your friends.. your bravery, your fight and your spirit will never be forgotten."

EastEnders star Tamzin Outhwaite wrote on Twitter : "This has floored me. Sending love and light to Tom’s wife and children. So unbelievably tragic. R.I.P Tom Parker."

Strictly's James Jordan said: "Just heard that Tom Parker passed away. The same wicked disease that took my father. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. He was a very special man that I had the honour of meeting several times Rest In Peace brother. My dad will be there waiting for you with a beer."

Former X Factor winner Joe McElderry penned: "So very very sad life can be cruel! My thoughts to his family and friends."

Ashley James shared: "Oh god Kelsey I'm so so sorry. Sending you so much love."

Hollyoaks actress Chelsee Healey added: "Sending love and strength."
