Celeb SAS: Who Dares Wins sees only three stars complete brutal final challenge

Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins ended tonight with only three contestants successfully completing the brutal final training.

Alexandra Burke, Wes Nelson and Paralympian Aled Davies came out on top following a horrendous final task that saw them all kidnapped and interrogated.

The final episode started with five stars still in the running, with Ore Oduba and James Cracknell throwing in the towel after reaching their limit.

In the last task, each competitor was blindfolded and forced to endure interrogation tactics including being dunked and covered in freezing cold water, screamed at, and blindfolded as horrific noises were played to them for hours to break them psychologically.

James was the first to leave, with his snappy reaction to interrogators rubbing them up the wrong way and making his situation worse.

Ore gave up at the final hurdle when confronted with breaking his cover story, after having his arms strung up as he was doused in cold water.

Reflecting on their behaviour throughout the show, team leader Ant Middleton praised Wes for ‘turning from a boy into a man’ saying he had matured as a result of the course.

The DS team said Alexandra Burke had surprised them with strength of endurance, believing she would fold when she never did.

She had been particularly targeted by the interrogators after getting too friendly with one of them and calling them ‘babes’ in a chat.

Aled Davies was also credited for going ‘above and beyond’ what he was capable of, even when he shouldn’t have, refusing to be treated differently despite having hemimelia of the right leg, which means the fibular bone (shin bone) is short or missing, limiting his stability and motion.

Speaking at the barracks, Ant said he was looking to pick someone with "c ourage, composure and solidarity".

"Would I put my life in your hands?" he said. "It hasn’t been easy. This has been tough for us. You three have successfully completed this course.

"Absolutely amazing well done. This is your moment, well done you three."

The relief on everyone's faces was evident, as they shared hugs in celebration of their achievement, completing something that nine other celebrities were unable to do.
