Celeb pals rally around Gerry Cinnamon as he posts emotional tribute to dead dog

Gerry Cinnamon has paid tribute to his beloved pooch after his tragic passing.

The Belter singer shared a series of pictures of Rascal, who he branded as his ‘best pal’ in an emotional Instagram post.

A highlight reel of pictures showed the pair cuddling up to one another and going out for walks.

He said that Rascal had been ‘bouncing around like a puppy again’ even in his final days with the Glaswegian star.

The pair spent every hour together, with Rascal even joining Gerry on tour across the globe. One of the snaps shared showed a happy Rascal peering out the window on the singer’s tour bus.

“Travelled the world with you. Toured with you. Woke up to your tail wagging every day”, the 36-year-old star wrote.

“You always sorted folk out whenever they felt sad or anxious like a mini guru. You made everyone you met happier and made me a better person.

“Even in your final days you were bouncing around like a puppy again.

“Heartbroken you’re gone but blessed to have been part of your life. Like a son to me, my best pal in the world.

“We’ll love you forever Rascal. Rest in power my previous wee man.”

Gerry’s celeb friends were among those to leave their own tributes on the post - including former Celtic stars Kieran Tierney and Tony Watt.

Jamie Keenan of The LaFontaines also wrote: “S***e Gerry, sorry to hear man.”
