Celeb Go Dating star Gary Lucy finally ready to settle down and put single days behind him

Celebs Go Dating star Gary Lucy has admitted he wants to put his single days behind him and is ready to settle down once again.

The Hollyoaks actor is one of the new batch of celebrities to sign up for the popular E4 series following his split from wife Natasha Gray, who he shares two children with, after four years of marriage.

The 12th series of Celebs Go Dating started on Monday with the likes of Love Island winner Liam Reardon, The Only Way Is Essex star Pete Wicks, singer Sinitta and Cecilie Fjellhoy, who appeared on Netflix documentary The Tinder Swindler.

The actor admitted that he struggled to date since splitting with his wife Natasha Gray in 2018 (Channel 4 / Rachel Joseph)

The actor had been single since the separation with his ex-wife in 2018 after struggling to meet women due to the changed landscape of dating compared to his wild younger years.

The dad-of-two appears to have found love, though, with Celebs Go Dating co-star Laura Anderson after meeting on the reality dating show, and he wants to make sure he doesn't go back on the dating scene any time soon after his "mad experience" on the programme.

He told The Sun : "I've had an awful experience of dating again, it's a whole new world now and when you're busy, where do you meet people?

"I'm a 40-year-old man now and I think there are a lot of people of my age, older and some younger, that kind of go s***, where do you go from here, where do you meet people?"

"Where do you build a relationship, not meet people for a hook up, that was early 20s or late teens and I had no problems with that back then, I certainly had my cake and ate it."

He opened up about the many "hook ups" he had during his late teens and early 20s and admitted that he is not proud of his behaviour in his partying days.

Gary added: "Back in the day, I used to change my number or change my phone, which is an awful way to behave and I'm just being honest. That's upsetting, I think they call that ghosting now."

Gary and Laura's relationship seems to be going strength to strength after going official in October after being spotted cosying up together in September.

Former Love Island star Laura described the romance as 'the happiest I've been in a long time' and it is believed that the couple have met each other's family.
