Ceiling collapse sees emergency services rushed to Yate home

A flood in a Yate home caused the ceiling to collapse.

Emergency crews rushed to the address on Gleneagles at around 7.02pm on March 29.

Gallons of water came cascading through the roof after a pipe burst at the property.

Luckily no one was injured during the incident and firefighters from Yate were able to switch off the water supply.

A spokesperson for Avon Fire and Rescue Service said: "At 19:02 a crew from Yate station attended a property on Gleneagles, Yate.

"On arrival they found a ceiling had collapsed due to flooding from a burst pipe.

"Crews isolated the water supply and made the property safe."
