CeeDee Lamb loves idea of potentially being ‘little bro of everybody’ on Cardinals

The Arizona Cardinals could use the eighth overall pick in the NFL draft this month to select Oklahoma receiver CeeDee Lamb. Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray has made it clear he would like that. Lamb would love for it to happen as well.

In an interview on Instagram Live with CBS Sports, captured by Twitter user Diego Root, Lamb was very positive about joining a team that includes Larry Fitzgerald, DeAndre Hopkins and Kyler Murray, as well as coach Kliff Kingsbury.

“It’s closest to being the little bro of everybody and just learning from a lot of great people,” he said.

He called the Cardinals “a very young team and talented” and said he would be “honored” to be a part of it.

“I’d actually be real excited because a lot of people compare me to D-Hop,” he said. “If you put me with him, you’ve got two of them. That’s fun.”

He said he would learn a lot from both Fitzgerald and Hopkins and compared it to how Hopkins had to have learned early in his career with the Houston Texans from Andre Johnson. He called Hopkins a “young older guy” who has a ton of experience.

It would be as ideal a situation as Lamb could enter.

The question is whether the Cardinals will take him over an offensive lineman or defensive player.

If Lamb is the selection, it would be hard not to be excited in an offense that features him as the fourth wide receiver option with Fitzgerald, Hopkins and Christian Kirk, as well as Kenyan Drake at running back and having Murray as the quarterback.
