Rangers loanee Cedric Itten has proved his knack for scoring from the bench translates to the Bundesliga as he netted a consolation against Bayern Munich.
The Greuther Furth forward was a substitute specialist under Steven Gerrard and he netted within 12 minutes of coming on the pitch on Friday night.
Itten was sent out on loan for the season after failing to truly sparkle in Glasgow despite turning heads at times during the club's undefeated Premiership title romp.
And he was alert against one of the best teams in the world when he head edthe ball into the net past Bayern keeper Manuel Neuer as the Bavarians got a late surprise.
Despite being deemed expendable by Gerrard - Itten admitted earlier this month that he had no hard feelings about being allowed to temporarily exit Glasgow.
He said: "I wish I could have played more there but we had a big squad that was largely together for three years without notable departures.
"It wasn’t easy to play yourself into the side."
