Rangers have decided to bring Cedric Itten back to the club amid frustrations about his form and game-time with Greuther Furth, according to a report.
Swiss striker Itten signed for Rangers in the summer of 2020 but found football hard to come by under Steven Gerrard.
He notched six goals but only eight of his 38 appearances were from the start as he adjusted to life in Scotland.
After a similarly frustrating start to this season, Itten was sent out to Greuther Furth to play regular football. However it's been an awful campaign for his new side so far with just one Bundesliga win to their name.

Despite scoring against Bayern Munich and Eintracht Frankfurt, Itten has recently lost his place in the side and German outlet Kicker claim that has led to some frustrations at Ibrox.
Gers confirmed when they sent Itten out on loan they had a break clause to bring him back to the club in January if they wished.
And it's now reported the Premiership leaders have "made use" of that option and will bring Itten back to Ibrox "with immediate effect".
Kicker also note that a lack of service was Itten's problem although he is one of just three Furth players with more than a single goal to his name so far.
But the loan hasn't worked out for him and now it appears Gio van Bronckhorst will take a look at him at Ibrox before deciding on his future.
Another loan move away may be the most likely option unless Itten can take the bull by the horns and impress his new boss.
Rangers face a trip to Aberdeen on Tuesday when their defence of the Premiership title resumes.
After that is a home tie with Stirling Albion in the Scottish Cup - a potential chance for Van Bronckhorst to rotate and give Itten his first run-out for Rangers since August.
