Cecil Hotel manager Amy Price explains why she never quit despite its deadly history

Amy Price has revealed why she never quit her job as the manager of the infamous Cecil Hotel.

Appearing in episodes of Netflix's true crime documentary series Crime Scene: The Vanishing at the Cecil Hotel, Amy speaks at length about the history of the establishment and the events surrounding the disappearance of Canadian teen Elisa Lam.

However, many may have questioned why Amy spent over a decade working in the hotel.

Now Amy has explained why she never decided to quit her role as the manager despite her the multiple deaths that occurred at the hotel during her tenure from 2007 until it closed in 2017.

When asked by Metro if she ever considered leaving, she answered: "Never. Not at all. I had such a wonderful team that I worked with, and we were all committed to getting the job done and working together and we did that quite well."

Amy also revealed her genuine hope for the hotel to lose its bad reputation, noting the "bittersweet" feelings she about it.

She recalled: "It did close and I do hope that in the future it will reopen to something that is referenced to something different than what it has become."

The former manager noted that she hopes it escapes its old "darkness".

Despite the horrors that took place inside the hotel, Amy revealed that she understands the fascination with the location in Los Angeles, California, especially regarding the death of Elisa Lam.

Yet, she notes: "When people are just so curious, you know, they want to believe there must be more to it."

The circumstances of Lam's death remain a mystery, and there was no evidence to rule that the teenager had taken her own life or had been murdered.

However, it hasn't spotted people on the Internet noting eerie similarities between Lam's death and the horror films entitled Dark Water.
