This is the terrifying moment an armed robber threatened a shop worker with a knife.
Police have released CCTV as they hunt down a masked man who attempted to raid a Newcastle store on September 29.
Officers were called to the DGS News on Arlington Avenue in Gosforth shortly before 8.30pm.

It was reported that a man had entered the store armed with a knife and was allegedly threatening the shop worker, demanding money from the till.
The offender, a white man wearing a face covering and what police believed appeared to be golfing gloves, then fled the scene empty-handed.
Police have confirmed that nobody was injured but the employee was left shaken by the incident.
An investigation was launched into the incident into the attempted robbery and police have now released an image of a man they wish to identify as part of their inquiries.
