CCTV 'shows arsonists lighting petrol bomb' moments before terrifying attack on family home

Arsonists were caught on CCTV lighting a 'petrol bomb' moments before a terrifying attack on a family home, it has been claimed.

A man in his 20s suffered burns following the fire in Langley, Middleton, on Wednesday night (June 10).

Residents told the Manchester Evening News the fire started after a 'petrol bomb' was thrown through the window.

Police said the incident on Fairfield Road is being treated as arson and are investigating if a petrol bomb was used.

One neighbour said moments before the attack his CCTV cameras filmed a car pulling up around 20 yards away.

He said the people inside can be seen lighting what appeared to be a 'petrol bomb', before the car drives towards the house.

The neighbour, who asked not to be named, said he heard a loud bang. Firefighters were on the scene 'in minutes', closely followed by police and paramedics, she added.
