CCTV released in Mount Hutton bottle shop robbery investigation

Pictures: NSW Police

POLICE examining a Lake Macquarie armed robbery have released footage they believe can help them solve the crime.

The investigation stems from a September 27 incident in which a man entered a Wilsons Road bottle shop at Mount Hutton about 6.15pm and threatened an attendant, 24, with a firearm.

The thief demanded cash before fleeing the scene.

He was last seen heading east towards South Street at Windale.

Police established a crime scene, and on Tuesday released footage of a man they said may be able to assist with their inquiries.

The man is described as between 180 and 185 centimetres tall and was wearing dark clothing with his face and hands covered.

Anyone who may recognise him or have information is urged to contact Belmont police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
