CCTV released by police after burglar stole TV and food from Newcastle flat

Police have released an image of a man they want to speak to after a burglar broke into a flat and stole a TV and food.

At around 12.25pm on March 21, police received a report a man had used an object to force open the window of a home on Croydon Road in Arthur's Hill, Newcastle.

Police say he then went inside and stole a quantity of cash, a TV and some food before making off though the back door.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing and a number of enquiries have already been carried out, including a review of CCTV.

On Tuesday, officers issued the image of a man who was in the area at the time and could have information which can assist them.

A spokesperson for Northumbria Police said: "The man, anyone who knows him, or anything who may have information is asked to get in touch by calling 101 or using the Tell us Something page on our website, quoting crime reference 033514F/22."
