The hunt for missing Tony James Plunkett, 51, is continuing with police and his family increasingly concerned about his welfare.
He was reported missing at about 10.50am on Wednesday morning after leaving his family home on Cedars Gardens in Gateshead .
He has not been seen since his whereabouts are not known.
Enquiries to try and locate him are ongoing but police and his family are growing increasingly concerned for his welfare.
Northumbria Police have released a CCTV image which shows the clothing he was wearing on the day he disappeared.
It was taken around 10am near to the Sainsbury’s in the Team Valley.
Superintendent Mark Hall, who is leading the search, said: “Tony has been missing now for more than 24 hours and we do have real concerns for his welfare.
“He is now being treated as a high risk missing person and our officers are deployed across the Gateshead area to try and locate him.

“Tony is one of two high risk missing people we are trying to locate and we have a large number of officers involved in the two search efforts.
“We have real concerns for both of their welfare and we would urge anyone who had seen Tony, or anyone who may have looked similar to the person in this CCTV image, to get in touch with police.”
Tony is described as white, about 5ft 10in tall, of slim build and with short, greying hair.
Anthony is believed to be wearing a green bomber jacket, a salmon t-shirt, jeans and black trainers.
