Police investigating an attempted burglary have released CCTV images of a man they would like to trace.
Officers received a report of a man who tried to gain access to a property on Elmsford Grove in Longbenton.
The incident is believed to have taken place at around 1.40am on Saturday, November 20.

It was reported the man approached the locked property and tried the handle before fleeing the scene.
Northumbria Police has now released an image of a msn who was in the area at the time of the offence.
Officers believe he could have information that can assist with their investigation.
The man, or anyone who knows him, is asked to contact police via the ‘Tell Us Something’ page of the Northumbria Police website or by calling 101 quoting 129539F/21.
