CCTV released of three people after man threatened with knife during burglary

A man was assaulted and threatened with a knife when three thieves broke into a Gateshead home.

Two men and one woman entered a home in Warwick Court and stole £70 in cash.

During the theft, they were challenged by the male inside the property, who was then assaulted and threatened with a knife by one of the suspects.

The thieves then fled the scene but thankfully the man was not injured in the altercation.

Now, police have released CCTV footage of three people they want to speak to in connection to the aggravated burglary.

Officers are appealing to the public to identify the people on the footage as they are believed to have been in the area at the time of the incident.

Inquiries to identify those responsible are ongoing but police have now released images of three people they want to speak to.

Those in the images, or anyone who recognises them, is asked to call 101 quoting log reference 1047 121119.
