Police launched an investigation into the burglary but the vehicle was later recovered on Chillingham Road in Heaton.

Inquiries to identify those involved are ongoing but police have now released an image of a man they wish to speak to.

He was in the area of Chillingham Road when the vehicle was abandoned and may be able to assist the investigation.

The man, or anyone who recognises him, is encouraged to contact Northumbria Police on 101 quoting log 592 05/10/19 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

You can also report online at www.northumbria.police.uk or email the investigating officer on 2771@northumbria.pnn.police.uk.
