Police have released images of two men they want to speak to following an assault which left the victim needing hospital treatment.
The man was attacked at 11.20pm on Saturday, 23 November on Bonnington Road, Leith.
Detectives say the two men can help with their investigation and anyone who recognises them has been urged to get in touch as soon as possible.
The first man is described as white, 40 to 50 years old, of a medium build with grey hair and balding at the crown. He is pictured wearing a bright blue jacket with navy sections, dark trousers and black shoes.
The second man is white, around 30, with a slim build, dark hair and a dark beard. He is pictured wearing a dark jacket, a grey hoody with writing on the chest and blue jeans.
He is believed to have limited use of his left arm and a limp on his left side.
Detective constable Sheila Silvagni, of Gayfield CID, said: "As part of the investigation, we are eager to identify the men in the images and would urge them, or anyone who recognises them, to get in touch with us immediately.”
