CCTV picture of woman released after Marks and Spencer clothes worth hundreds stolen in brazen theft

Police are seeking to speak to a woman after the theft of clothing worth hundreds of pounds from a Marks and Spencer store in St Helens.

CCTV images of a woman have been circulated by Merseyside Police after a thief walked into the shop in Ravenhead Retail Park and filled shopping bags with clothes from the racks.

The theft occurred at around 12.30pm on Tuesday, July 21.

A spokeswoman for the force said: "We have issued a CCTV image of a woman we would like to speak to following the theft of hundreds of pounds worth of clothing from Marks and Spencer at Ravenhead Retail Park in St Helens.

"It was reported a woman entered the shop at around 12.30pm and filled up a number of bags with clothing before leaving.

"We have issued an image of a woman who we believe could assist with our investigation.
