CCTV pic released of man wanted in connection with violent fight between train passengers and youths

A CCTV image has been released after a violent fight between passengers and a group of youths at Neath train station.

Two people were taken to hospital after the fight and a number of people involved suffered cuts and bruises during the incident.

Two 15-year-old girls and two boys, aged 16 and 17, were later arrested on suspicion of violent disorder.

British Transport Police officers have now released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to in relation to the incident, which happened at 10.20pm on Saturday, May 18.

A spokesman for the force said: "A fight is reported to have broken out between passengers at the station and a group of youths. A number of those involved suffered cuts and bruises.

"Two victims were taken to hospital to be checked over.

"Four people have been arrested on suspicion of violent disorder. They include two girls, both aged 15, and two boys, aged 17 and 16.

"Officers would like to speak to the person in the image who may have information that could help their investigation.

"Anyone who knows him, or who witnessed the incident, is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40 and quoting reference 649 of 18/05/2019."
