CCTV images released of missing man who vanished after walking his dog in Neath

New CCTV pictures have been released of Darren Stott, who disappeared from his home in Neath after walking his dog on Wednesday, October 2.

The images show Mr Stott, also known as Daz or Gomez, entering the Nisa Local store on Briton Ferry Road, Neath , at 5:30pm on the day he went missing.

Previously, Mr Stott had last been seen walking his dog to a pharmacy on Windsor Road at around 4:15pm, before then returning to his home on New Henry Road.

He was wearing a navy blue baseball cap, jacket and a T-shirt with a yellow smiley face logo on it when he went missing, and left the house without any of his personal belongings.

The chef occasionally helped out in the kitchen of the Rock and Fountain pub in Neath.

How does a missing person investigation work?

His brother, Paul, made an appeal for information about his whereabouts, saying his family are "worried sick".

"Darren is a young man of habit. It is out of character for my little brother to leave his phone, tablet, wallet, and especially his dog, which he refers to as his baby.

"His mum, myself and his friends are worried sick. We just want his safe return.

"Please, Daz, come home, to all the people that love you most," he said.

Concerned friends of Mr Stott have also been putting posters up around Neath and Briton Ferry, asking for help in finding him.

A South Wales Police spokeswoman said: "We are continuing to appeal for information in relation to the whereabouts of Darren Stott who has been reported missing from the Neath area.

"If anyone has any information or has seen Darren since this date, please call police on 101, quoting reference 1900367165."
