CCTV images released of man in connection with serious assault on Argyle Street

CCTV images have been released of a man in connection with an investigation into a serious assault in the city centre.

Police Scotland has said they believe the man may be able to assist them in their ongoing inquiries into the early morning attack that occurred outside KFC on Argyle Street on Monday, July 26th at around 00.15am.

Officers would like to speak to the man who is described as a white male with short brown hair with a medium build. He was wearing a light-blue football top, blue jeans, and white trainers.

Officers would like to speak to the man in the images (Police Scotland)

Detective Constable Mark McCallum said: “Since this incident took place we have been conducting a number of enquiries and are now seeking assistance from the man shown in the images and would ask him to come forward and assist us. If you can help us identify him, please contact officers as soon as possible”.

Those with information should contact Police Scotland via 101 and quote incident number 0047 of 26 July 2021. An anonymous report can be made to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
