Police have released CCTV images of a man they want to speak to in relation to "traffic offences" in Basford.
The incident happened at around 11.40am on July 7, near to David Lane tram stop in Basford.
The man pictured in the images is the driver of a silver VW Golf which appears to have crashed into the back of a blue car and damaged the bonnet.
Police are now trying to trace the driver and are appealing to the public for help.
A Nottinghamshire Police spokesman said: "If you have any information please call 101 quoting incident number 342 of 7 July 2019."
