CCTV images released as police investigate assault on train to Edinburgh

Police have released images of a man they want to speak to following an assault on board a train heading to Edinburgh.

The attack took place on a train between Cowdenbeath and Haymarket stations on Saturday, July 13.

British Transport Police are investigating the incident, which happened between 12.52pm and 1.30pm.

On Tuesday, they released CCTV images on a man they wish to speak to in relation to the investigation.

He can be seen wearing a grey T-shirt with "Scotland" written on it and a body warmer.

Anyone who recognises him has been asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting number 1900060731.

Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
