CCTV images released after staff threatened during shop robbery in Edinburgh

Police investigating a robbery at a convenience store in the west of Edinburgh have released images of a man they want to speak to.

The robbery took place at a shop on Saughtonhall Drive around 5.30pm on Friday, July 26.

A man entered and threatened staff, before leaving with more than £100.

Anyone who recognises the man in the photos has been urged to contact police.

Detective constable Craig Donnelly from Corstorphine CID said: "Fortunately nobody was injured during this incident but staff at the premises were left understandably shaken by the ordeal.

"I would appeal to anyone who recognises the man pictured, and who can help identify and trace him, to contact police as soon as possible."

The man police are looking for is described as being in his 30s, around 5ft 8in tall and had a stocky build. He was wearing a navy jacket and dark jeans.

Anyone with information can contact Corstorphine CID via 101, quoting incident number 3761 of 26th July
