Police have released CCTV images of a person they want to speak to about the assault of a man who had just left a city club. Officers were called to reports that a man had been punched in the face and verbally abused in Burton Street, Nottingham at around 3am on Saturday, December 11, 2021.

The man suffered fractures to his jaw. The suspect reportedly left the scene before officers arrived and police have now released images of a man they would like to speak to in relation to the incident.

Detective Constable Bethanie Foster, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This was an awful incident which left a man with significant injuries to his face, for which he had to receive hospital treatment.

“Such reports will always be met with robust action. This behaviour that has been reported is absolutely unacceptable and we are committed to investigating incidents like this.

“We understand the impact of such incidents on victims and have been making a number of enquiries following the incident.

“We have released an image of a man who we believe has important information and could help us with enquiries. We are very keen to speak to him and would ask anyone who recognises him, or anyone with further information, to get in touch on 101, quoting incident 181 of 14 December 2021."
