CCTV images released after boy's iPhone stolen in Arboretum area

Police have released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to after a boy had his iPhone 6 stolen.

The owner was walking along Gedling Grove in the Arboretum area at around 9am on Monday, September 16 when he was approached and asked for the time.

When he checked his phone for the time, he was threatened and the phone was stolen from him.

Detective Constable Qassum Hussain, investigating the incident, said: "We're very keen to talk to the man in the images to further our investigation. This incident must have been frightening for the young boy and any information is hugely important."

"These kinds of incidents will not be tolerated and we want to reassure people that any such reports will be investigated."

If you recognise him or think you can help, please call Nottinghamshire Police on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, quoting incident number 349 of 16 September 2019.
