CCTV images of two men released by cops after Scots teen robbed at knifepoint

Police have released CCTV images of two men they want to speak to in connection with an armed robbery in Airdrie.

Officers believe the duo may be able to assist with their ongoing enquiries after a teenager was robbed at knifepoint on December 8 last year.

The 19-year-old had his wallet stolen after being threatened with the blade on Southburn Road.

Police Scotland have now released the still images in a bid to identify the two men who are believed to speak with English/London accents.

The first man is described as black, aged between 17 to 20-years-old and around 5ft 10in tall with a slim build.

He was wearing a beanie style hat, a dark coloured jacket and trousers while carrying an Adidas backpack.

The second man is also black, of roughly the same age and build, but was wearing black trousers and a black puffer jacket.

Detective Constable Chris Armstrong, of Coatbridge CID, said, “Anyone who recognises these men, or who has information regarding this incident should contact Coatbridge Police Station through 101, quoting reference number 2863 of 8 December 2020.

“Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
