CCTV image released of man police want to speak to about thefts from vehicles in Gateshead

Police have released an image of a man they want to identify after a spate of thefts in Gateshead.

Officers are investigating after a string of thefts from vehicles in the Teams area of the borough since the beginning of November.

A number of items have been stolen from vehicles in the area and inquiries to identify those responsible are ongoing.

Now officers have released an image of a man they want to speak to after a theft in Teams on the evening of November 10.

He was in the area when the theft took place and could have information that will assist the investigation.

Officers are also reminding the public to ensure their vehicles are locked and no valuables are left in cars overnight.

Anyone who knows the man in the image, or can help identify him, is asked to report online at the Northumbria Police website.

You can also call 101, or email 3922@northumbria.pnn.police.uk, quoting crime reference 124407C/20.
