CCTV image released as concerns grow for missing Johnstone man

Police have released CCTV footage of missing man Kevin Turner, who was reported missing from his home in Quarrelton Grove.

Officers believe the 50-year-old left his home on foot on the morning of Sunday.

This had been the last time Kevin had been seen but CCTV footage now shows his last known whereabouts as Johnstone train station 08.38am on Sunday, 25 October.

He can be seen walking from platform 2, up and over the footpath and onto platform 1 before exiting the station where he walks in the direction of Thorn Brae and out of sight.

Kevin is described as being 5ft 8in tall and of a stocky build with short brown hair. He is thought to be wearing a black rain jacket, a pair of dark blue jeans and black boots.

Inspector James McArthur said: “We have released footage that was captured on local CCTV of Kevin in Johnstone train station at 08.38am on Sunday, 25 October.

“He is seen to exit the station and make his way towards Thorn Brae before going out of sight. If anyone was in the area around this time and recognises the man in these images, we would ask that they contact police as soon as possible.

“There is significant concern for the safety and wellbeing of Kevin and I am asking for the public’s assistance in helping us to trace him.

“I would specifically ask local residents to check outbuildings, sheds and gardens in case he has taken shelter.

I would also ask anyone in the area around Johnstone train that has private CCTV or dashcam footage to please check for anything relevant which could help us find Kevin.

“If you have any information that could assist with our investigation, please get in contact with police.”
Police Scotland can be contacted by calling 101 and quoting incident number 2065 of 25 October.
