CCTV image released after man injured in Glasgow city centre assault

A CCTV image has been released after an assault in the city centre last month.

A man was taken to hospital for treatment after being attacked in Hope Street on Wednesday, September 11 at around 6.15pm.

Police have now issued a picture of the man they wish to speak to, as they believe he could assist their enquiries.

Officers are appealing for anyone who may recognise him to come forward as they believe he may have information that could assist their investigation.

The man in the photo is described as a white male, with slim build, short dark hair wearing an orange jumper, blue coloured jogging bottoms and white trainers.

Detective Constable Mark Soutter of Glasgow CID said: “As part of our ongoing inquiries we’re eager to identify and trace the man pictured and would ask anyone who can help us to get in touch as soon as possible.”

Anyone with information should contact Police Scotland on 101 and quote incident number 3183 of 26th August 2019.

Alternatively an anonymous report can be made to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
