CCTV footage was today released of a masked man approaching an electric bike stolen from outside a Wirral convenience store.
Police want to trace the man believing he could hold "vital information" to help their probe into the theft of the bright green pedal cycle from Allport Road, near to Bromborough Wines, Bromborough.
The crystal clear video footage shows the bike propped against a wall.
The man, wearing a face mask and cap, appears to be heading into a doorway, but then stops in his tracks after spotting the bike.
He then walks up to the bike and the footage ends.

And Merseyside Police today urged anyone who recognised the man to come forward as they continue to investigate the brazen theft which happened just before 6pm on Friday, September 11.
A Merseyside Police spokesman said: "CCTV enquiries have been ongoing and officers are keen to speak to the male in the clip, as he may have vital information to assist the investigation.
"If you recognise the male or have any information about the incident, or captured any other CCTV, mobile or dashcam while parked at or passing the location at this time, please contact our social media desk via Twitter @MerPolCC or Facebook Merseyside Police CC with reference 20000550016."
