CCTV footage of man police want to trace as part of probe into Alva assault on mum

A CCTV clip and still images of a man who police believe may be able to assist in enquiries into an assault in Alva last month have been released.

A woman had been walking along a Stirling Street pavement in the town with her young son, who was on a scooter at the time, about 8.45pm on Sunday, January 24.

The assault took place between Cobden Street and the Day-Today shop.

She was left shaken but uninjured, and was assisted by a local shop assistant, before calling for police assistance.

The male is described as being in his thirties, 5ft 10ins height, stocky build, with receding dark hair.

He had been wearing a dark blue sports style zipped jacket with a logo on the left chest, dark trousers and black trainers with a distinctive white sole.
