CCTV footage captured before former TOWIE star Jordan Wright was found dead in Thailand has been released.

In footage obtained by the MailOnline, the reality star, 33, can be seen looking over his shoulder as he runs back to his hotel on the island of Phuket shortly before midnight on Thursday, March 12.

Wright had been staying at the four-star Hotel COCO Phuket Bangtao Beach, where rooms cost around £23 a night. He was seen pacing erratically, before then sprinting out of the hotel grounds.

Two days later, the star was found dead, lying face down in water, on a construction site by a worker harvesting vegetables nearby.

According to the paper, police said what happened leading up to Jordan's death is “unclear” and it is possible “other people were involved”.

Police had also said CCTV footage made him appear “restless and was moving back and forth in front of the hotel before leaving the area”.

Wright, who was known for appearing on the ITV reality show in 2018 as well as MTV’s Ex On The Beach, died just weeks after moving to Thailand.

On TOWIE, he became a fan favourite for his flirtation with Courtney Green and was involved in one of the show’s most memorable on-screen confrontations with her then-boyfriend Myles Barnett.

He was previously in a relationship with former Geordie Shore star and TV presenter Vicky Pattison.

A spokesperson for The Only Way is Essex (Towie) said in a statement: “Everyone at Towie sends their deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Jordan Wright at this very sad time.”

Tributes have been paid in the comment section of Wright’s last Instagram post, including from fellow Towie star Chloe Brockett, who wrote: “Rest in peace Jordan.”

Liam “Gatsby” Blackwell, who also appeared on the reality programme, added: “Miss you already, brother.

“Glad I got to see you in Thailand a couple of months ago. Big love to all your Family.”

A spokesperson from the UK Foreign Office said: “We are supporting the family of a British man who has died in Thailand and are in contact with the local authorities.”

Further details are expected following the results of the post-mortem, including whether alcohol or drugs were involved.
