CCTV clue after Basford house burglary

Police investigating a recent house burglary have released an image as part of their investigation.

The house, in Shaftsbury Street, Basford, was targeted shortly before 8.45am on Tuesday, March 16, when an offender gained access through a downstairs window.

Various items were allegedly stolen from inside, including a handbag and mobile phones.

Officers believe the man pictured in this CCTV image may be able to help them with their enquiries.

Police investigator Danielle Clarke, of the specialist city burglary team, said: “Burglaries like this can have a lasting impact on victims, some of whom no longer feel safe in their own homes once the offences happen. That’s why we work so hard to investigate each report we receive.

“We would like to speak to the man in this image as part of our investigation and would like the public’s help to identify him. If you know who he is then please call us on 101 quoting incident 118 of 16 March. Alternatively you can ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
